We have a lot of good things happening with our students and for our students. Volleyball is headed to the playoffs. Football is on the verge of clinching a spot. Cross country is advancing to regionals. The band has advanced in their sweepstakes run. Several choir students have made all region. The theater class has just finished another successful year of Spooky Stories. The FFA has had students successfully participating in contests and attending the national convention. The robotics team is also heading to their first contest. This all in approximately 9 weeks. It obviously has been busy with lots of time and effort being put in by students and sponsors. We have numerous activities next week. Keep checking those emails as we will be getting confirmation on the different playoff scenarios and locations. Things will not be slowing down as we approach the holiday seasons. Buckle up and get ready!
Remember to continue to check dress code. We are beginning to have too many sent to the office in the afternoons. These issues need to be caught during the first period reminder. Grade books must be updated by every Monday afternoon. Lesson plans must be current.
On a totally different topic the campus has received a commitment from South Hampton refinery to create a partnership. There are a lot of behind the scene activities occurring. As more information becomes available we will be able to share some exciting details in the not too distant future. If everything goes according to plan the Early College and CATE programs have the potential to grow at a rapid pace. It is an exciting time to be a part of whats to come for the students and campus.

Survival Techniques 101
As we have gotten older many of those activities we enjoyed in our youth have slowly faded away. Halloween was a time for dressing up, trick or treating, or basically just getting some tasty treats. We supposedly have outgrown those things....right? In this week's Survival Techniques it shows just how appreciative teachers can be for a "purple prize pumpkin".
