Week of September 5
Almost two weeks down and things are beginning to become routine. Monday is Labor Day or as teachers refer to it, the last day off until Thanksgiving. This week also begins the 11th official school day and schedule changes should be complete. Students do not need to be sent to the counselors's offices for changes.
I am noticing many teachers in the hallways during transition which is great. We are beginning to have an issue with some students roaming the halls during class time. Please keep your students in class. If an issue arises and a student needs to leave the room they must have their i.d. and the class issued hall pass. Items such as staplers, blocks of wood, hammers, screw drivers, coffee cups, stuffed animals, etc. are not hall passes.
This week's main activity will be the new Wall of Honor inductees. There will be a reception in the gym lobby area on Friday @ 5 pm prior to the Jasper game.
This week's activities
9/5 Labor Day holiday
9/8-9/10 volleyball @ YMBL tournament
9/8 jv football @Jasper
9/9 football vs Jasper
9/9 Wall of Honor reception @ 5 p.m. prior to game with halftime recognition
Now for a little Tiger funny.
Last week I am sure many of you went home stressed out for whatever reason. You may have too many in your 4th period. Your duty may not be to your liking. The cafeteria really said that it was edible. What was such and such's parent thinking when letting their kid come to school dressed like that? You get the idea. Well, life is all about perspective.
